Tony Moore Executive Director
As a hospitality park executive with more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Tony has served in a leadership capacity for some of the most respected entertainment brands including Universal Studios, SeaWorld Parks and Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. Tony owned and operated a hospitality consulting firm, Attractions Management Group Inc. and is now serving as the Executive Director for a one of a kind, world-class, urban park, Gathering Place.
At Universal Studios, Tony held operational leadership roles as a creative, hands-on leader with big-picture perspective, assisting with the successful opening of Islands of Adventure Park.
During his career at SeaWorld Parks, Tony served in a variety of roles including Marketing Manager, Director of Park Operations, Director of Environmental Health and Safety, Director of Culinary Revenue, Director of Corporate Operations and Executive Assistant to the President and Chairman of The Board.
As Chief Operating Officer for Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, Tony relaunched the brand for the zoo, overseeing new project development, in-park brand enhancements, programming and special event development, competitive market analysis, and community affairs.
In 2016, Tony started as the Executive Director for Gathering Place, a $465 million dollar park located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked closely with park designers and park builders in managing all end-user, guest interface initiatives. Tony’s vast industry experience along with all the efforts of his entire team and colleagues played a critical role in the successful opening of the park in September, 2018. Gathering Place has since been named USA Today’s “Best New Attraction of 2019”, Time Magazine’s “World’s Greatest Places to Visit” and has been honored with the Urban Land Institute’s “Global Award for Excellence”. Tony’s goal for the park is that it continues to grow as an inclusive space that unites all Tulsans regardless of age, culture or socio-economics. A place that not only engages, educates and excites; but likewise a place that helps to make Tulsa a more vibrant place to live work and play.
